Spring is Here!

We spent all day yesteday outdoors and it was wonderful! Andy surprised me with a picnic lunch at our favorite park (also, where we had one of our first dates). We discovered an old graveyard in the woods of the park.

Then we went on a long Jeep ride to Middleburg, VA where we enjoyed a few cold ones, some ice cream, and each other's company.

Brody and Copper

We've been quite busy with our new puppy Copper, but Beth had a chance to go see our new nephew, Brody, last weekend in OH. He's adorable! Here are some pics of Brody and the pup. Double-click the slideshow to open a new, maximized window.

New Family

This past weekend was an exciting one! We have a new nephew as of March 21! Brody Vallas Winters was born at around 7 lbs. This is the first grandchild for the Sheeler side of the family!

















Andy and I also just added to our family! Copper is our new Sheltie mix. He's about 3 months old and adorable! He's very shy and getting used to his new home. Once he adjusts, though, we're sure he'll break us in to being new pup parents!

Friends

Beth went home to PA this weekend for a BU girls luncheon. She had wonderful time catching up, telling stories and laughing like old times. Soon we will have two new BU buds to add to the group - with Liz due June 4 and Shannon due July 4th!
















On Sunday we both went to Mr. & Mrs. Hopper's celebratory luncheon where they announced their recent marriage. Congratulations Tom & Shannon! Tom is headed to Iraq in one week and we wish him a safe tour.

It's official! We are now Mr. & Mrs. Shean! We had a wonderful time in Negril, Jamaica with family and friends last week, sharing our wedding day and a much needed warm vacation in the middle of winter. The Coming Weeks...

The next few weeks are going to be busy!! Both Andy and I will be on business trips while Inauguration is underway. It is going to be CRAZY here! The streets are already lined with Port-O-Pots! TONS of them!

Then we'll be on our way to Jamaica for our big day!! We can't wait! And look how warm it is there :-)

Sorry it has taken a little over a month to post house pictures! We FINALLY got things situated this past weekend. Enjoy the pictures! We are taking the next month or so "off" from doing anything else, but after the wedding we will start painting and adding the finishing touches! Here are the upstairs pics. I will post the downstairs pics in a separate post.

Ikea - A Love/Hate Relationship

As we unpacked, we realized storage space is at a minimum, so we bought a wardrobe at Ikea this week. We spent all day on New Years and some of the day on Friday putting this massive beast together and it's still not quite finished. Ikea = headache. Wardrobe = Lots more space!
